Cu Chi Tunnels is located to the northwest, about 65km from Ho Chi Minh city center and the journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes by car.
On the way, you will be introduced by the tour guide of Saigon Top Tours company about Vietnam's history, culture and customs of the region, especially you will visit the rubber tree plantation, take pictures and learn about how to cut bark of rubber tree to get the sap.
Upon arrival, the tour guide will buy the entrance ticket for you, you will see a short documentary about 15 minutes introducing the process of forming Cu Chi tunnels and the importance of the tunnel system during the Vietnam War.
Then you will start to explore Cu Chi tunnels such as crowing the tunnels, visiting the weapons bunkers, hospital bunkers, meeting bunkers, tanks, cannons, dining room, kitchen, rice paper workshop and especially you have the opportunity to try your hand at shooting guns such as AK 47, M16, M30 and M60...
After the tour, you will enjoy pandan leaf tea, boiled tapioca dipped with salt and roasted peanuts.
