Vung Tau city is a coastal city, with 42 km of beautiful coastline and two majestic mountains which are Tuong Ky great big mountain and small mountain called Tao Phung mountain with the statue of Jesus stretching arms and beautiful Lighthouse 18m high, 30 m nautical mile with a history of over 100 years old. The coastal city of Vung Tau is in the southeast, 95 km from Ho Chi Minh City and takes 2 hours and 15 minutes by car.

The coastal city of Vung Tau is known in the 19th century as Chan Bo. In 1658, Lord Nguyen Phuc Tan brought 2,000 troops to Chan Bo to expand the shores called: Thang Nhat, Thang Nhi and Thang Tam also called Tam Thang. By 1775 Portuguese and French ships entered and out of Vung Tau  porttsto trade and exchange goods. And from there the French called Vung Tau Cap Saint - Jacques. That is the Cap Saint Jacques.

Today after your breakfast at the hotel. Tour guide and driver of Saigon Top Tours will pick you up at the hotel lobby. The journey takes 1 hour 30 minutes from the city center to the old battlefield of Long Tan Nui Dat in Ba Ria - Vung Vung Tau.

 Before upon arrival, A visit to the former Australian military base at Nui Dat, the Long Tan Cross and Long Phuoc Tunnels, can be covered in a day from Saigon. This is one of the famous  historic battlefields of the former army of Australia, New Zealand. It was here in 1966 with the intervention of Australian troops to assist the Republic of Vietnam allies to fight the Viet Cong, guerrillas and liberators of the North during Vietnam War.

Then we will visit the 32-meter high Statue of Jesus that is perched on the Small Tao Phung Mountain. Statue of Jesus spread his arms on the top of Tao Phung or small mountain. Built in 1974, the statue was established as the "largest statue of Jesus in Asia" in 2012. The statue is 32m high, 2 arms long is 18.4m. Inside the statue is a spiral staircase of 133 steps from the base of the statue to the arm. In the heart of the statue can accommodate 100 visitors watching the beautiful coastal city. From the foot of the mountain to the statue has 1,000 steps with a height of 500m. Very beautiful and attractive, attracting many pilgrims and conquering majestic peaks.

After visiting the old battlefield. You get on the car to go to the coastal city of Vung Tau. On the way stop at the local restaurant for lunch local food. After lunch you board the car and go to the hotel to check-in. In the afternoon, you can take time to relax on the beach until get picked up for dinner and explore Vung Tau coastal city at night.

DAY 2: VUNG TAU - HO CHI MINH CITY

Today after breakfast, the day will begin with a sightseeing tour in Vung Tau that will cover the most popular Buddhist Pagoda, White Palace, and one of the oldest Lighthouse in Vietnam. We then have lunch then you can take the time to relax on the beach before driving back to Ho Chi Minh City.
